I bought the product a month ago and it refuses to keep accurate time. I wish I had seen the reviews here before purchase because it appears to be a known issue which Panasonic are doing nothing to resolve. When in standby mode it gradually gains time and is unusable as a clock after a day or so. Once it is switched on again it shows the correct time but frankly, that is appalling.

Apart from a lot of good things to say about this radio, I have on big issue:

There is a problem with the internet radio, it randomly cuts off not long, and it seems to do it on all internet stations.

The internet /wifi here is fast and steady and works perfect with all other connected units.

I have restarted routers and all units, but I end up having the same issue - anybody aware of a fix to this problem??

I recently bought this radio to listen to internet radio, but this problem has become a show stopper.

I purchased this internet radio exactly one month ago, primarily to serve as a reliable bedside alarm clock. Unfortunately, the device suffers from fundamental technical flaws that render it completely useless for its intended purpose. Based on other reports, I believe these are systemic design flaws, not a defect in my unit.

1. Persistent Wi-Fi Stability Issues

The most critical issue is the radio's inability to maintain a stable Wi-Fi connection. The connection drops out very regularly, causing frustrating short audio interruptions approximately once every five minutes.

Crucially, my home Wi-Fi is robust and functions perfectly. I have multiple other internet radios in my home, all of which operate flawlessly without any connection issues, confirming the problem lies specifically with this model's Wi-Fi module or firmware.

I have already tested basic troubleshooting steps (various locations, different power adapter) without success.

2. Deeply Flawed Clock Accuracy

The issues with the clock are the most serious, especially for an alarm device. The timekeeping is profoundly inaccurate:

Sometimes a single minute only lasts 55 seconds. Other times, a minute stretches to 65 seconds.

This erratic behaviour strongly suggests a fundamental flaw with the internal timing mechanism (likely the oscillator). This suspicion is supported by the fact that the clock's colon (the double dot between the hour and minutes) often flickers highly irregularly.

3. Alarm Function is Unreliable

Because of the severe timekeeping issues, the alarm function is completely useless. I have experienced significant oversleeping, having been woken up half an hour late on one occasion, and fifteen minutes late on another.

Furthermore, while I set the alarm to use the internet radio stream, it frequently defaults to the harsh buzzer sound when the connection inevitably drops—even if the Wi-Fi signal itself is strong.

Conclusion and Recommendation

My strong impression is that a poorly functioning internal oscillator is the root cause of the problem, leading directly to the clock's extreme inaccuracy and likely contributing to the instability of the entire system, including the unreliable Wi-Fi connection.

Despite these critical failures, the unit looks good, the audio quality is acceptable for the price point, and it offers all the desired functionality on paper. However, since the core functions (reliable timekeeping and stable connectivity) are non-operational due to what appears to be a major design fault, the device is worthless as an alarm clock.

Given the severe, consistent, and unfixable technical faults, I intend to seek a full refund from the retailer. I cannot recommend this internet radio to anyone seeking a reliable timepiece or alarm.

What a lovely little radio this has turned out to be doing exactly what I wanted it to do Surprised at the good sound quality. I have given it a five rating even though I can pull it up on the dreadful poor performance on FM. Another annoying thing is the fact that it will not return to the same selected station on DAB when switching back on but will select the highest number of saved station in the list.For the rest of it would recommend.

Compact radio, easy to set up once you get used to the button setup. Could do with a bit more bass but appreciate it tries to squeeze out as much as possible, decent unit for the cost.

Purchasing an Internet Radio online was quick and easy, and delivered on promised date. Setting up the Radio was quick and easy.

Good sound with reasonable bass coming through, good volume for size.

Disappointed with the delay on changing station, modes etc. A noticeable 'lag' in responding to change of stations, including with the remote.
