Fixation Clip V3 Noir Avec Plateau - PEAK DESIGN

I’ve been using the Peak Design Capture for a while now, and it’s become one of those accessories that I don’t really think about anymore because it just works. It keeps my camera secure and easily accessible, which is much more comfortable than having it swing around on a traditional neck strap during long walks or hikes.

The build quality feels excellent. The materials are sturdy, the locking mechanism inspires confidence, and installation is straightforward once you’ve done it the first time. I also appreciate that it works well with backpacks and belts, making it easy to adapt to different situations.

It’s not a perfect product. The price is higher than some alternatives, and depending on where it’s mounted, it can take a little experimentation to find the most comfortable position. The included plate can also add a small amount of bulk to the bottom of the camera.

Overall, if you frequently carry a camera and want quicker access while reducing neck and shoulder strain, the Peak Design Capture is a worthwhile investment. It’s a thoughtfully designed accessory that has earned a permanent place in my camera kit.

Doesn’t fit their own backpack. Never will buy one of their products again.

I carry a VERY expensive camera all over the Sierras and had to have a clip that was rock solid- the is it. Works perfectly. There is a little muscle memory to acquire but it is super easy after just a few outings. Just remember the lock :)

I like the concept of the capture 3 clip, and got the pro pad, so I could hang it from my belt. My first few outings it worked flawlessly. But then it started to "stick", i.e. when I tried to pull the camera plus telephoto lens from the clip, it wouldn't disengage. After fiddling with it, the camera finally came out. But by that time, the wildlife I'm trying to photograph can be gone. I tried applying some dry lube to alleviate the problem. It didn't help. I finally gave up on it.

I was a bit skeptical at first. When I received the product I was very impressed by it. It has a quality feel and machine like operation. It easily holds my ~10lb camera I use for birding. I am comfortable to run and jump around with it. The lock adds extra comfort so I know that I will not engage the release button on accident. Over all a great product and I will consider buying another one for different outfit choices.

Was sceptical at first but now did about 100km of hiking with my Canon EOS 1DXII and a 70-200mm/f2.8 lens on my shoulder strap. Really feels assuring and sturdy. Plate could be a but larger to make it less wobbly.

Really solid clip. Have it on the strap of my camera bag so I don't have to keep putting the camera in and out, but doesn't swing around.

I got this as a gift for my partner and this was so special .....it works beautifully. Top quality.
