Barre de son SB 550 - JBL

I've had this speaker for about a year And all the sudden it just will not work. I've did all the reset options even unplugged it over night Nope still will not work. Something this pricey shouldn't just quit especially when its a Good brand. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because when it did work I loved it. It was a great speaker great sound etc.. Definitely will not purchase another though. Probably better sticking with the off brand honestly

Coming from a Samsung this was a bit disappointing. For the price point I do find it ok in value though I would do some shopping around as i believe you can do better for this price point. The sound quality is ok, mainly cinema. Though I tend to listen to alot of music so I find it a downside that it doesn't have Bluetooth turn-on and it doesn't have a display to switch between different sound presets and modes.

This appears to be a good entry level sound bar with wireless subwoofer. While it does give a decent amount of coverage and delivers fairly crisp sound. I find it slightly lacking and it looks cheaply made. That being said at its price point it is about what I would expect.

Once I received the product I set it up in my living room since I wanted my family to enjoy better sound. I couldn’t be more happily surprised with the sound quality of both the sound bar and speaker. Genuinely made my living room come to life.

This JBL soundbar + subwoofer combo is incredible. It feels like you're in a movie theater. Being a bit of a tough grader, I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option, for the following reasons:

PROS:

- Outstanding bass - perfect for action movies, really makes them thrilling

- Crisp sound quality, powerful sound - as expected for a JBL product

- Set up was quick and easy, pretty much automatic.

- Sleek design and low profile soundbar. Looks good and adds to the aesthetics of the TV.

- The remote has preset options to optimize the sound for a movie, voice, music, and also to adjust the bass

CONS:

- The only drawback is that the provided HDMI cord is quite short in length (easy to fix)

Would 100% recommend

To start off with this thing was really easy to setup and instantly connected to the tv. Once you connect it all you really have to setup is the amount of bass and then pick the mode you want. I went with movie and think it sounds great. Overall for a soundbar package it has all you could really want and if you want to use it for music I think it can do a really great job of filling a space.

I set the Cinema SB550 up in my living room and it was about as easy as it gets. Plug in the power cords to the speaker bar and the subwoofer, plug in an HDMI and you’re good to go. The subwoofer pairs to the sound bar with the click of a button on the sub.

If using with a TV that has ARC enabled HDMI output, the controls integrate seamlessly with your TV. It automatically powers on and off with the TV, disables the TV speakers and syncs the volume controls so both the TV and JBL SB550 remote can control the volume. This makes it so simple and convenient to use.

It also has Bluetooth so the SB550 easily connects to all your devices and is great for listening to music, videos, movies, and whatever else you want to listen to.

Since it’s compact and so easy to setup, I like to use it with my portable projector too. I can get full cinema sound in my backyard, the game room, camping, school, wherever!

The sound is great; so much better than TV speakers. The SB550 outputs a surprisingly full sound spectrum that fills the room the way a much larger sound system would. When watching movies and playing video games, the surround effects are noticeable and immersive. The sound bar has very clean crisp sound and vocals come through nice and clear. The subwoofer is almost too powerful. I do not find myself using the BASS boosting control as I get more than enough from the normal setting.

If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the bass crossover for the subwoofer can feel like it is set a little high at times. Depending on the sound mode and what you are listening to, sometimes you hear the subwoofer playing higher end sounds that can sound overpowering for the overall audio balance. Although the different sound modes and settings help with this, I wouldn’t mind a bit more subwoofer control.

This speaker system has big sound and comes in a clean, convenient, compact, and easy to use form. Overall it creates a great cinematic experience and is perfect for everyday use and music listening as well.
