Enceinte portable Flip Essential 3 - JBL

I have the earlier flip series and I was especially ecstatic to receive this updated model. The size is just perfect to carry around, and the waterproof ability helps when taking it to the beach or by the pool. The sound quality is what I expect from JBL. This speaker is loud and performs nicely in a nice sized area. The speaker paired very easily with my mobile phone, and battery life is great for listening to your favorite music or podcast for hours. You can also connect a second Flip speaker to create great surround sound!

"Who is this for?"

This is for those on a budget as the tagline implies but also for those first getting into audio. This is also a great speaker for those who like to listen to music and are around a lot of water whether that be by the pool or in the shower

The main pro:

Water Resistance - JBL is well known for their water resistant speakers and this is the upgrade I've been waiting for; the USB-C port is now water resistant! That doesn't sound like a big deal but previous generations of speakers had a flap over the ports that always was a source of concern whether or not I had closed it before taking it into the shower

The main con:

Volume Distortion - As a small, budget speaker I expected no less. To be fair, this thing sounds great at volumes 50% and below but above that, you lose bass as well as audio clarity. The solution is a bigger speaker for louder volumes so at this size it's to be expected but it would feel wrong not to mention it anyways. I personally wouldn't purchase any speaker below JBL's Xtreme size unless I was specifically looking for something extremely portable

Some miscellaneous points to end on is that I like the improved design such as adding a high quality strap, the ability to triple press the play button to go back a song, and the continued improvement of the button placement. Overall I'm impressed at the quality for the price but I wouldn't buy anything that couldn't get loud and maintain the bass at that volume

With the exception of the gym, I bring this speaker with me everywhere. I even tethered it to my motorcycle bars with a bungee chord and it performs well under 40mph. For its size it has a wonderful frequency range, punchy bass and a long lasting battery. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a go-to.

This is a great speaker to bring to work! I work in a kitchen, and multiple coworkers have complimented the speaker's sound quality. I am also impressed!

One of the first things I noticed is how strong the bass response is in low to mid volume! I can really enjoy the music without being obnoxious to my coworkers. The sound is so clear, its like personal concert wherever I want!

I plan on taking this backpacking in the near future, and I'm sure it will perform wonderfully! The battery life is pretty nice. I can go multiple workdays without charging it.

The simplicity of the packaging and instructions is nice. It was very easy to understand.

Comprei para conectar à minha televisão Samsung, porém as tecnologias não são compatíveis 😢😢😢. Tive que comprar um adaptador que custa quase metade do valor da caixa.

I’ve been really enjoying the JBL Flip Essential 3 SE so far! The first thing I noticed was how compact it is while still feeling solid and well made. It’s easy to carry around, which makes it perfect for listening to music at home or taking with me when I’m out.

Setting it up was super easy and only took a few minutes. The sound quality is really good for a speaker this size, with clear audio and plenty of volume. I was also pleasantly surprised that even when turning the volume up, the sound stayed clear without much distortion.
