We have owned and still own great products from JBL that we use almost everyday. With each generation JBL continues to innovate rather than be complacent and this lil gem is proof. The Bluetooth connection is quick and reliable with NO drop outs. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. But what made my ears dance was the sound that this speaker provided. Was it the separate sub and tweeter? Most likely and no matter what type of music I threw at this it came through without breaking a sweat at any volume. But wait, great sound is the tip of the iceberg. IP67 Waterproof and dust proof . 12 hours playtime on a 3 hour charge. We be jamming. But the hookup to other JBL speakers was the bees knees How cool is that if your friends bought thier JBLs over and everyone jam from one source.. Like I said JBL innovates. Highly recommend.

So much sound in such a small package!

Battery life is true to JBL Expectations, rated at 12 hours but I haven’t been able to kill it yet.

This is easily my favorite new portable speaker.

Nice looking, and very easy to use. Bluetooth connected easily. USB C charging, long battery life, very good sound for the price. Full and articulate. The Flip 7 (which I also own) sounds marginally better but at a higher cost. Both are approx the same size. The Essential 3 SE has a convenient wrist strap. I’d recommend the Flip 7 if you can pay a little more, but if you want to stick to the lower pricing, you won’t be disappointed by the 3 SE.

I have been a JBL fan and this new Flip 3SE does not disappoint! My primary focus is sound quality. Design comes second but is also very important. JBL delivered on both fronts. I tested this speaker with multiple genres to get a feel for the capability of highs and lows. Audio is crisp and clear but also has that JBL deep rumble bass even at low volume. I tried out the speaker using an airplane cabin sound and it accurately mimics the sound of an airplane cabin. I slept like a dream.

With regard to design, there are a few key features that I appreciate. It is slim enough to easily fit in the bottle holder sleeve in my Laptop backpack. It also has a lanyard that can be clipped onto my backpack for safe transport. Last, I like how the color of the speaker is a nice navy blue. In certain light, it looks black, but I’ve included a picture to show the difference between a pitch black and the color of the speaker. Really sharp!

In all, this small speaker delivers upon the design and quality expectations I’ve always had for JBL and again, they never disappoint!
