This coffee machine has some significant improvements in relation to the 5000 series. WiFi is an interesting feature, but to be honest, it doesn't make your life easier to make coffee. The display looks really good. Coffee tastes good, but this is subjective, as it also depends on what coffee brand you are using. Budget coffee or 100% Robusta will still taste awful, whatever coffee machine you have or settings you have made, and will never compare to La Marzocco. The new coffee milk container is a big improvement, the new brew unit looks improved (but this only can be established in the next 3-4 years of usage). The lid from the coffee bean container has also a much better seal, to keep the beans' aroma a bit longer.

The biggest downside and disappointment is the drip tray and tray cover. It is a huge downgrade compared to previous models. The cover doesn't line up with the tray, there are loads of gaps and it looks like the tray covers were done by someone in the garage due to a lack of spare parts. Also, the drip holes are way too small, so water is all over the place. Holes from the previous model's tray cover were way bigger, so water was not splashing all over the cover.

The amount of options and coffee selection you can make with this machine is amazing! I absolutely love it, cold or hot makes the best coffee!

I wanted a coffee machine that was easy to use but still made proper coffee and this one has been amazing so far! The Philips Café Aromis Series 8000 feels well made looks like a staple piece on the counter top and doesn’t overcomplicate things. The coffee comes out hot, tastes good and there’s enough choice without it being confusing. I also like that you can change the strength and size of the drinks. The milk frother does a good job and is probably the feature I use most. It does need regular cleaning, but nothing too difficult. Overall, I’ve been really pleased with it and would 100% recommend it!

This has been a pleasure to use day-to-day. Straight out of the box it was easy to set up, and the good-sized touchscreen makes choosing and adjusting drinks effortless — you can tweak milk quantity, espresso volume, strength and temperature to get things just right. The drink menu is extensive; my regular is a cappuccino, though I've enjoyed experimenting with others like the red eye and black eye, and the milk frothing has been consistently good. Two features really stand out: the Silent Brew tech, which keeps it impressively quiet and perfect for early starts, and the BrewExtract extraction, which produces a shot that's genuinely good for a fully automatic — friends and family have repeatedly complimented the coffee. The design looks classy with LED lights that come on while dispensing. If I'm being fully honest, the finish is let down slightly by a fair amount of visible plastic when you look closely — but it doesn't affect how well it performs.

I am absolutely in love with this coffee machine. I love an ice coffee in the morning and a cup of hot coffee in the day. This machine is amazing as it has a large variety if cold and hot drinks. It even has a different milk jug for both. So many different options and setting (coffee strength, temperature and quantity). Also has option for travel size drinks. Very amazed. Was easy to set up and use. Definitely recommend if you enjoy both hot and cold drinks

I’ve had the Philips 8000 Series Café Aromis for a few weeks now and have spent the time testing out all of its features, drink options and customisation settings. Overall, I’ve been very impressed with what the machine offers.

The biggest strength is the excellent selection of drinks. There’s a huge variety to choose from, including both hot and cold options, so there’s pretty much something for everyone. Whether you want a straightforward espresso or a more elaborate milk-based or cold drink, the range of options is one of the best things about this machine.

There’s also a high level of drink customisation. You can adjust the strength and size of your drinks, as well as create and use different user profiles. This makes it particularly useful in a household where everyone has different preferences.

The touchscreen is another standout feature. It’s very intuitive and responsive, and makes navigating through the different drinks and settings extremely easy. The whole process feels streamlined, and you don’t need to spend ages working out how to use the machine.

The machine is also relatively quiet compared with other bean-to-cup machines I’ve used, which is a nice bonus, particularly when making a coffee early in the morning.

There are a couple of areas where I think it could be improved. The water tank is a little too small for someone who mainly drinks black coffee. If you regularly drink larger Americano-style drinks, you’ll find yourself having to refill the water container fairly frequently.

I also think the espresso quality could be better. While the espresso is perfectly enjoyable, I’ve compared it with other bean-to-cup machines, particularly De’Longhi models, and I think De’Longhi produces a better-quality espresso with more depth and intensity.

Despite those points, I think the Philips 8000 Series Café Aromis is a great all-round bean-to-cup machine. The sheer number of drinks, excellent customisation, intuitive touchscreen and relatively quiet operation make it a very versatile machine.
