LEGO Technic - Véhicule lunaire Lunar Outpost 42211 : Aventure spatiale pour les enfants multicolore LEGO

I like some of the unusual LEGO Technic models and this is one of the best. Although the main vehicle has four wheels, it is very different from the excess of cars in the range. The rover has linked suspension, keeping all the wheels on the ground without needing springs.

The set has excellent Play Value, which is so important. I count 8 functions on the main vehicle (2x suspension, 2x steering, solar panels and 3x crane). Then the tracked mini vehicle has a 2-function grab, the pod opens and there is a tiny rover too. It would definitely be on my Christmas list if I were my younger self again and is still on my Wanted List. The only odd thing is that the main vehicle carries the larger rover and pod but does not appear to be able to carry the tiny rover.

When there was a good discount I bought four sets. I enjoyed the build but the set is also a great parts pack. The white tracks and chain links are most useful for modelling in the Futuron Space theme, especially a new monorail to revive the classic set 6990. As a creative idea, try alternating the colours of chain links or tracks in a model. A good source of turntables too. The wheel trim pieces are unusual; they might make sturdy bases for stands but they are expensive as spare parts, 10% of the set price for four of them.

The only snag was that this set was not available at my usual retailer, so I had to wait a long time to get it. Another retailer had a discount but no stock. So not many sets were shifted by the usual routes in the UK. That might be why the LEGO company themselves had a good discount later on, but I'm happy to have bought this set in multiple. Definitely recommended. We need more Space, machine and unusual sets in the Technic theme; reduce the excess of cars

We absolutely love this set. My boyfriend and I started building it together thinking it would be a cute little date night project… and now it’s basically taken over our week. We’ve already spent over 7 hours on it and we’re only about 65% done.

The pieces and gears are just so high quality and unique. You can really feel the attention to detail, especially with the moving parts and mechanisms, which makes it super engaging. It’s challenging in the best way possible and so satisfying to see it come together.

If you enjoy space, engineering-style builds, or just enjoy building something together, this is it. 10/10 would recommend. Honestly, we’re having way too much fun with it

I really, really enjoyed this one! There were a lot of new build techniques for me. A few stickers, but not too many. Sometimes Technic builds are tough, requiring some disassembly to backtrack and fix mistakes. While I appreciate a challenging build, but I don't want to be frustrated. That was minimal on the lunar rover. I love the mechanisms for moving the solar panels and the crane arm. I really like the little moon rock scooper! The moon rock balls and crystals are really fun. The color scheme awesome and different compared to recent Lego Space and lunar-themed sets. Overall, I'm very happy with this lego set.

I honestly can’t wait to build this. The LEGO Technic Lunar Outpost Moon Rover (42211) looks even better in person than it does online. The box is solid, the design details are crazy good, and the color combo of white, blue, and black just pops. It has over a thousand pieces, which is perfect enough to keep me busy without being overwhelming.

What I love most is how it looks like an actual futuristic vehicle, not just another toy. The little mini rover and the arm mechanism are genius, and I already know this is going to be one of those builds I actually enjoy from start to finish.
