      Visible finish flaw

      Visible flaw in outer finish. None of my other Staub cookware have this issue and it is very visible even with the lid on.

      poor quality control

      The lid does not seal. The pot looses liquid to fast to cook properly. Very disappointing.

The Staub Lid should rest fitting on the base of the Cocotte with a little steam to escape as not to cause a vacuum effect when the Cocotte reaches a higher temperature.       This is a really beautiful cocotte . It’s very big . It’s so solid and heavy and the color is gorgeous. I love it and hope to be able to buy more . The other thing is I had it within 2 days of ordering, and the company kept me updated very well , much more so than any other company I’ve ever ordered from , I was really impressed by them .

      I'm looking forward to putting it in the oven.

      I already had a 5qt tall pot, but unfortunately it didn't fit in my little oven. The great quality of the Staub pot made me buy this pot to enjoy oven cooking as well.

      Gorgeous !!!

      Love the color, was a fan of graphite grey two years ago, was considering white, but "white truffle" is just timeless, absolutely gorgeous, elegant. And I baked my first bread ever.

      Beautiful and Well-Made Product

      While this is still a new purchase for me, I already love my brand new cocotte. The white truffle color is beautiful, and the Staub design looks amazing on display in my kitchen. I was very torn between going with a Staub or a Le Creuset and I'm definitely happy with my decision. Not only was it a better price, but the self-basting lid is a super nice feature and the overall construction feels super solid. My cocotte will get a lot of love and use over the next several decades!

      Gets a work out!

      The new Truffle color is stunning, and looks beautiful in the kitchen as well as on the table. Love having a pan that can be used in the oven as well as on any cooktop. Easy clean up, thanks to the dark black interior which will not stain, and resists sticking.

      I use this pan for everything. Love making stews, soups, braises and sauces as well as deep frying and bread baking. Where else would I get the versatility I get with this pan. Well worth the price for all the functions it allows. The most used piece in my kitchen.
