Cocote ronde en fonte ø 28 cm rouge STAUB

This was my first Staub pot, and the first thing I made in it was a beef stew, and wooooow, I was impressed! It cooked much faster than in my regular pot. The best part was that I didn't have to add any water at all because all the moisture stayed locked inside. Another thing I loved was that my house didn't smell like food afterward. The lid seals so well that it keeps the steam and odors in. I'm really happy with it and would definitely recommend it!

I love how the food turns out in this pot! It keeps everything nice and moist, so the flavors are even better. I also feel like it cooks a little faster. And the color is gorgeous, it looks so elegant in the kitchen!

Works great! We have many many different soups, sauces, and also baked bread in the dutch oven. We are very happy with this purchase!

The fit and finish of this pot is great. I have so far only used it to cook chili in, but it did its job as it should and was easy to clean. I’ve owned other pots of this type that were enameled inside on the cooking surface, and the cooking interior of this pot seems way better to me. Easier to clean for sure and no staining. We ordered the extra rabbit handle(it was free for a promotion) and it came in a separate shipment. Wish it would have came installed on the lid but that’s a minor inconvenience since it was free. Just be aware that if order a different lid knob, you have to install it yourself. I would definitely buy another one just like it and the other sizes too.

I used a recommended cleaner, Bar Keeper’s Friend, and it destroyed the enamel on the base of the cocotte. I’m fairly positive my product was defective, because I hand washed the lid the exact same way and with the exact same product, and it looks perfectly fine. Just get a Lodge or something cheaper, Staub is absolutely not worth it.

I love this Dutch oven. Super durable! Easy to clean and no staining because of the black interior.

I received my Staub yesterday after scoring a great deal during their Black Friday sale. The grenadine color is gorgeous. I was eager to use it right away, so I made my beef stew. Not only was it delicious, but the pot retained heat so well and I do believe the lid design really helps lock in the moisture. I went with the 7 qt dutch oven as I often batch cook. This will provide plenty of room for all of my meals and can certainly fit a medium chicken. While I recognize this is an expensive purchase, you can tell out of the box that this is a quality piece of cookware that could be passed down to the next generation.
